FUNDRAISING

We are a non-profit making club and support East Anglian Air Ambulance whenever, wherever and however we can. We chose this charity because we feel it reflects our club ethos of appealing to all people of all backgrounds and all ages – and our music too reflects all decades and all styles – just as Air Ambulance save the lives of anyone, without bias, who require their emergency help. Everyone hopes they will never need them but no-one knows when they might, so it is a charity that everyone can support and contribute to.

Are you aware that every time you see that yellow helicopter out saving a life, it costs £3,500? Since their launch in 2000, the emergency medical helicopter service has attended over 25,000 lifesaving missions, touching the lives of thousands of people. Last year the EAAA crew treated 1654 critically ill patients, with the highest number of incidents related to road accidents and cardiac arrests. The charity is run entirely on donations and without these, it would not be able to provide the outstanding service that it does. Read more about the charity and their work here: www.eaaa.org.ukWe may only be a small club but we have a big heart and take much pride in performing and fundraising.

Last year we raised £1,503.52 for EAAA

In total since KLUC began, we have raised a whopping £4,568.49 for EAAA.

In 2019, we’re aiming to smash our record further and plan to purchase a PA system and gazebo to enable us to perform at larger scale gigs with the view to entertaining bigger crowds and bigger fundraising aims. We are currently planning a birthday party for ourselves to raise funds needed to benefit EAAA further in this way. Please support us, and our charity, buy showing your support at this event if possible. Hunstanton Lions have sponsored our aim by donating towards our goal and we are most grateful for their support, as we are to the Anvil Inn, Karl & Kathy, who donate the use of their function room free of charge to us on a weekly basis. Without them there would be no KLUC so we are forever appreciative.
