King’s Lynn’s First Ukulele Club

King’s Lynn Ukulele Club (KLUC) was set up in March 2014 by Andy English of Grimston and Keith Sharples of Walpole St Peter.

KLUC has members from all over Norfolk, Lincolnshire, the Fens (Fenland) with people visiting from Wisbech, Downham Market, Fakenham, Norwich, Dereham, Swaffham, Wells Next The Sea, Hunstanton, Sheringham, Cromer, North Norfolk Coast etc.

We are a friendly club, and welcome ukulele adult enthusiasts of all abilities, and are always happy to share knowledge and little tips and tricks!.  We cover lots of different musical styles – the aim is something for everyone.

Absolute beginner?  You’re very welcome.  Give Andy a call  on 07767316866, or email andy.english@ymail.com to arrange to meet up, ideally before a practice night to have a chat, and then stay to see – and hear – what happens.  Andy and Keith are very happy to have one to one sessions to help fellow ukulele fans, so don’t be put off by being a beginner.  KLUC is the first musical adventure for quite a few of us, so you won’t be alone!

We meet on Tuesdays, at The Anvil pub in Congham.  We start at 7.30pm, and people start arriving from 7pm onwards.  We aim to finish around 9.30pm.  The Anvil responded to Andy and Keith’s appeal for a venue for the club to use, and very generously let us use the room free of charge.
